Full Job Description
The Supply Chain and Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing inventory demand and
requirements for our Solar panels and associated hardware. This individual will act as the interface
to manufacturing and service sites to resolve supply issues relating to the part number portfolio.
Qualifications
- Inventory control: 3 years (Required)
- Supply chain management: 5 years (Required)
- Purchasing: 4 years (Required)
- Inventory management: 4 years (Required)
- Advanced Excel: 4 years (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree (Manufacturing or Supply Chain Management focus preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience within Purchasing, Production and inventory management
- Must have international supply chain experience (EU/Asia/USA)
- Demonstrated experience with contracts, purchasing and inventory management of technical materials – electrical components, wire harnesses, Metal and Machined Parts
- Inventory planning, Management and execution planning a must have. Must have hands on experience of transactions in warehouse and reconciling inventory discrepancies
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify business process issues and drive process improvement
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP systems experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in an international team environment to achieve business objectives
Bonus Qualifications
- Demand Planning Experience
- Spare parts management for field support experience a plus
- Interfacing with 3PL providers and work teams across Central/N. America
- Vendor/supplier negotiation experience
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve business objectives
- Good Spanish & English skills
Responsibilities
- Determine the required materials and generate purchase orders
- Work with suppliers and other departments to ensure consistent supply for the manufacturing of hardware and delivery to project site
- Coordinate with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.
- Accountable for Material Planning master data to meet project installation and service requirements
- Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues in order to execute mitigating actions
- Coordinate shipment schedules, including timely organization of all required documentation needed prior to shipment
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to meet Material Readiness Dates and ensure no production stoppages
- Assist with order management processes. Reconciliation of demand vs. supply
- Identify and manage new parts and BOMs.
- Review out of stock situations or shortage of supply issues in order to recommend and execute mitigating actions
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/variances and perform corrective action plans to avoid reoccurrence
