Caban Systems: Head of Operations Job Description

About the role:

Caban Systems is looking for an experienced Head of Operations to lead manufacturing, production, and supply chain. We are a startup company focused on designing and manufacturing energy storage systems for telecommunications infrastructure. As we scale production and increase our product offering, we are looking for a person who can lead our operations and manufacturing activities. As an ideal candidate, you have proven senior management experience in a highly dynamic setting. Your organizational, communication, and leadership skills are second to none and you enjoy developing solutions that push innovative boundaries.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage production, supply chain, quality and manufacturing groups
    • Develop and execute strategy for manufacturing process and partners
    • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, and obstacles for our key initiatives
    • Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
    • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
    • Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs enterprise-wide, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs
    • Devise and implement QC processes at critical points in the manufacturing process
    • Develop and hold stakeholders accountable to a project plan and timeline
    • Advise on unit production volumes. Collaborate with Sales function to forecast demand

What you’ll need:

  • +10 years of experience in hardware operations or manufacturing
    • Experience working in a fast paced environment with an understanding of power systems
    • Ability to be a detail oriented team player, but also work well independently when required
    • Expertise working with multiple cross functional teams (engineering, sales, and finance)
    • Working knowledge of Solidworks and automation equipment is considered a plus
