Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Manufacturing Manager will oversee the end-to-end life cycle of Manufacturing operations to include production, materials resource planning (MRP), quality, cost containment, and meeting milestones. The role also maintains responsibility for operating the facility in strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements established by Caban and/or government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example exhibiting a safety-first culture through behaviors, values, and actions
  • Collaborate and engage skills with senior leadership, peers, direct reports, and on-premise organization
  • Manage demand signal from sales organization and build proactive forecast to meet and exceed cost, quality, and timeline OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) for the role’s AOR (Area of Responsibility)
  • Strong sense of ownership of holistic manufacturing practices to ensure communication, execution, and fulfillment of customer orders
  • Strong inventory management skills to include MRP, buffer/safety stock, vendor/supplier relationships, and problem solving skills to maintain just-in-time inventory model
  • Focus on quality initiatives to include Deming, Juran, and Kaban allowing flexible management of work processes and early detection of quality or problematic workflow scenarios
  • Models a continuous improvement mindset and consistently seeks throughput increases and cost reduction initiatives
  • Coordinates supplier relationship with procurement and recommends vendor qualification and supplier quality processes with Production Quality Manager

Requirements

  • The candidate must have 10+ years experience working in a contemporary manufacturing environment with the application of processes, systems, and tools to support an advanced assembly operation
  • Knowledge of the energy and power utility industry

  • System knowledge of a manufacturing planning tool similar to Odoo
