Overview:

Caban Systems is the leading provider of sustainable energy for the Information & Communications Technology industry. We are in search of the right candidate to help us scale successfully through our high growth phase. Our energy storage cost forecasting is a critical function within finance and touches every group within the company. Partner with Sales, Accounting, Manufacturing, Sourcing/Supply Chain and Field Operations teams to keep abreast of parts and material demand, and stay on top of pricing trends. Conduct required research and analysis to successfully forecast cost, identify cost reduction opportunities and facilitate appropriate customer pricing.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain financial model(s) to report current and historical part cost, labor and material overhead and forecast future cost.
  • Develop analytical insights that drive and support product cost negotiations
  • Facilitate month end close with inventory and COGS related insights
  • Work closely with leadership team on critical pricing, supply chain, and growth projects
  • Conduct research and analyze market conditions to continually refine COGS forecast
  • Provide financial governance and oversight of forecasting, MRP and inventory fluctuation, to maximize benefit to Caban Systems
  • Build compelling PowerPoint presentations and advanced Excel/models
  • Build trust with stakeholders and leaders across the organization and drive results through soft skills, not through mandates

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or pertinent analytical discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar or related function or industry. Hardware manufacturing experience essential
  • Experience in renewables or energy storage industry a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements
  • Professional level skills with analytical and reporting tools (e.g. Microsoft Office, GSuite)
  • Experience using or ability to learn financial management systems (ERP systems/ NetSuite/SAP, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects
  • Persuasive person who can maintain focus and professionalism under pressure
  • Must speak and write English and Spanish at the professional level
